Summary

RSV604 (A-60444) is an inhibitor of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) replication. RSV604 targets the nucleocapsid protein , with a K _d of 1.6 μM. RSV604 displays submicromolar activity against numerous clinical isolates of both the A and B subtypes of RSV (average EC ₅₀ s=0.8 μM) ^[1] ^[2] .

Kd: 1.6 μM (nucleocapsid protein) ^[2]

In Vitro

RSV604 (5 days) inhibits the growth of four laboratory strains of RSV (RSS, Long, A2 and B), with EC ₅₀ s ranging from 0.5 to 0.9 μM in plaque reduction assay ^[1] .
RSV604 (6 days) inhibits RSV-induced HEp-2 cell death, with an EC ₅₀ of 0.86 μM ^[1] .
RSV604 (3 days) reduces viral antigen synthesis in RSV-infected HEp-2 cells, with an EC ₅₀ of 1.7 μM ^[1] .
RSV604 (1-20 μM; 7 days) dose-dependently inhibits RSV infection in human airway epithelial (HAE) cells, with no gross cytotoxicity, leakage of basolateral fluid to the apical surface, or alteration of cilium beat frequency ^[1] .
