Description

Dantrolene sodium(F 440) acts as a postsynaptic muscle relaxant by inhibiting Ca2+ ions release from sarcoplasmic reticulum stores by antagonizing ryanodine receptors.

In vitro

Treatment with a mixture of Thaps. and dantrolene during optogenetic stimulation (OS) of Schwann cells (SCs) significantly decreases the percentage of MBP-expressing SCs and, importantly, reduces the percentage of MBP-expressing SCs. Mixture of Thaps. and dantrolene decreases drastically the ΔF/F value in SCs.
