Description
Cilostamide (OPC 3689) is an inhibitor of with IC50 values of 27 nM and 50 nM for PDE3A and PDE3B, respectively.
In vitro
In a rat balloon-induced injury model of intimal hyperplasia, oral administration of cilostamide has been found to suppress the intimal proliferation. Cilostamide possesses both antithrombotic and antiintimal hyperplastic actions.
